A Blast from the Past
OK, maybe this post is a little bit late, but I'll do it anyway...
So, why blast from the past? Well, because we really had a blast last Friday night at The Palace Hotel for the Annual TESL Night Dinner: 70s and 80s Retro - A Blast from the Past...
For this year's TESL Night, The Marjon 2 organised it and I would say they had done it wonderfully... Thanx guys!
Let's get through it, shall we?
So, all in all, we had a blasting time that night... Hope you feel the same too... Thanx again MARJONians for giving us a great time... Let's have it again next time (and we'll sure have it, mind ya')...
See Ya Next Year~

- Aku punye kewangan...T^T... (masih kurang pandai ber-kewangan lagi...isk isk)

Popcorn n' Movie
This is the highly amateur non professional review of films or as the youngsters say it, movies, by yours truly, Arefiquez...
So, today, I've watched two movies in Growball (not-a-promo) namely Alice in Wonderland and Under the Mountain...
So, 95% of Malaysians may have heard 'bout AiW but not UtM... Why? Let me give you my moview (that's the portmanteau of MOVIE and rEVIEW)...
ALICE IN WONDERLAND (the 2010 version, mind you... I don't live in the new millennium to watch the monochrome version of it)
An American movie by Walt Disney (the company, not Walt Disney in the grave) about Alice, who find herself back on the fantasy land known as Underland where she has to fight the Red Queen and... (SPOILER)
WHAT'S HOT - The movie is what I've expected... Great cinematography, great directing and editing... The movie runs smoothly (except for the absence of the audio in the end of it... I blame this to Growball) and you don't feel time passing even if it's running for 1 and 3/4 hours... The movie's CGI is top notch and for those who love adventure, humour, fantasy and big headed woman, come to your local cinema and spend RM10 to watch it...
WHAT'S NOT - Alice, the main character is like so pale in the movies, I mean her face make-up... Furthermore, I hate the Red Queen (I just hate her, nothing to do with the story, okay)

UNDER THE MOUNTAIN
Okay, for you out there, this is a NEW ZEALAND movie... Yes, the land way, way under us (the geography, not... never mind). So, we don't really tend to care too much on NZ movies, do we? What's the story 'bout? well, a fraternal twin go to Auckland to find that they're supposed to fight monster and zombies just because they're, well, twins.
WHAT'S HOT - Well, to be frank, this is an NZ movie so what do we expect? Still, for those who don't care about the nation and just want to have light fun (and adventure) and don't care if the movies like a children show, expected ending, the British's influence English, or the lack of CGIs (the CGs are there, but wish there're a lot more), so this is for you... What's hot? Well. the main male lead, of course...
WHAT'S NOT - I think I may have told you that in the above section...
