Open for April

And the stage is open...

...for Macbeth that is... Yup, you heard that right... One of four Shakespearean famous tragedy play (the other being Hamlet, Othello, and King Lear... plus who can forget Romeo & Juliet).

The play is not going to be held anytime soon though... It's going to be held in 14th May this year (duh...), but of course the characters have been chosen... What's unique about our play is that all three PPISMP TESL classes (SM and the two SRs) will cooperate together. People have been placed into 5 different groups with each group presenting each act from the play...

I'm in group two... Hooray... Below is the list of persons and their character:

Me - Macbeth (Ngeeeee... Don't ask why~)
Aina - Lady Macbeth (My husband...)
Jacinta - Banquo (Contradict thyself)
Joyce - Fleance (I take't, 'tis later, sir)
Bpuveen - Macduff (Dhoomma... eh silap... O horror! horror!..)
Audrey - Lennox (Mean you his majesty?)
Rachel and Radziah - Malcolm and Donalbain (Not sure which are which... Ngeeeeeeee~)
Esther - Servant (No dialogue... Gahahaha...)
Cindy - Errrrrrrr......~

So you see, even the male characters are played by girls... Heheh... I almost played Lady Macbeth, but something changed it... Mwahahaha... Now, I'm Macbeth... (Aside: Do you ever think a boy as thin as me would play... Macbeth?)

So folks, brave thyselves for a grand play... Hahaha...

More on April...

TESL Camp... four days of pure... err... English... What's fun? We're going to Kundasang! Yaaaayyyy~ Why there? Come on, we're here for like ages... Why not go out from KK for awhile and experience school there? Besides, we're going to visit historical places too~ Fun...

I'm in group 5 with a number of people and we'll be coordinating Public Speaking... Ngahaha... let's see how that goes by...

Till then... Chiao~

Popcorn n' Movie 2

Hey guys... It's my another self-made movie review... What a great movie to watch this time~!

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

Hiccup is a trouble-making, Viking boy who live in a trouble-prone village of Berk. That village is always under attack of dragons, lots of them. One night, while the village was attacked, he managed to captured the Night Fury, the rarest of dragons by using his catapult. Still, no one believes him. Nevertheless, while walking in the woods, he managed to find the Night Fury. Instead of killing it as the other Vikings, he befriended him, and thus the relationship of a human and a dragon begins. The others? You watch it yourself!

WHAT'S HOT - Great, great, great movie~! The film is dealt as if it was a live motion picture. The music score? Two thumbs up, it's like a real life action movie score. The cinematography? Mesmerizing, even without 3D. The plot movement? No fuss and easy to follow. Great CGs and characters. The ending is a bit sad... Nevertheless, the story is full of adventure and love for all of human and dragons (?). Love love love it~!

WHAT'S NOT - Nothing to worry about. It's so great, you will feel totally happy bout it... Happy watching!

What a day~!

Ok... let's go on to the topic... 24/3/2010 is like the busiest day... eva~
Why?

Let's start, shall we?

First... in the mornin'... we got English Language Society (ELS)... The topic is Newspaper in education and I was grouped together with Hamy, Raihan, and Dzul to make a presentation of verbs and nouns... Hmmm... So, how was it?
It's fun and entertaining... We even win for our creativity... What's my winning present for that?

Jeng... jeng... jeng...

A botttle of shower gel, courtesy of Flamingo Hotel of KL. Hahaha...

What's next?

Language Development, learning about transitional words (words ka?) and idioms/proverbs...
and making an essay from that...

During our recess, a local history was made... I successfully finish the rice on my plate... Wuahahah... (Standing ovation please!)

Then, movin' on to the Sports and Recreation, we had kabaddi, kabaddi, kabaddi, kabaddi, ... (it goes on and on). Hahah... Never played this game before. It was fun... Hahah... I even managed to tag one of my group's opponent and almost successfully took off the 'seluar sukan' of another person while trying to halt him from getting across... Hehehe... I don't even realised it... Nyeheheheh (evil)...

After that, off to YoYo for a while with JenJen, Rach, and GoGo... I bought Almond Milky Tea... Nice I tell you... Huhu... when will you be in Terengganu, YoYo?

After being trapped in a minor traffic jam, we went for the choir practice. We sang Bahasa Jiwa Bangsa (translation: Language is the Soul of the Nation [is that right?]). It's quite hard to be a choir member, but it's exciting... I love being in it...

Lastly, the TESL Night performance practice with Hamy, GoGo, Rach, and Zellie, accompanied by two other person, Aina-Fred... We rehearse for awhile and then, a revelation come to Aina and we changed our dance sequence a bit, well not really a bit caused we also changed some last night... Anyhow, our new dance sequence?

ELECTRIFYING!!!

What's the dance? Wait till TESL Night la... Wahaha...

So, I think I posted long enough... Till tomorrow...

DON'T HAVE A BAD ROMANCE~ Wuahahaha...

Of Vitamin M, Unofficial Checker, and Reflections

Last night was a major nite...

No, not bcuz there was Super Junior concert last nite (How I just wanna go there! *SIGH*)...
Come on, we cannot even go near there. Why?
First : the cheapest ticket is like RM130
Second : Most of us don't live in KL

Back to the real thing, last nite, I became the unofficial checker for my peers... and I mean A LOT... XD... It's a nice thing though... At least these things will also help me in my own English...
What did I checked? Hrmmm... BI works and ELP... Descriptive and Expository essays... huahu...
Now, I'm so worn out... Hahah...

Speaking 'bout works, I am to lazy to do mine, wahaha... Still, tomorrow is the first day of college after the break... so, go, go, go! XD Reflections? Bakar saja~!

Popcorn n' Movie

This is the highly amateur non professional review of films or as the youngsters say it, movies, by yours truly, Arefiquez...

So, today, I've watched two movies in Growball (not-a-promo) namely Alice in Wonderland and Under the Mountain...
So, 95% of Malaysians may have heard 'bout AiW but not UtM... Why? Let me give you my moview (that's the portmanteau of MOVIE and rEVIEW)...

ALICE IN WONDERLAND (the 2010 version, mind you... I don't live in the new millennium to watch the monochrome version of it)

An American movie by Walt Disney (the company, not Walt Disney in the grave) about Alice, who find herself back on the fantasy land known as Underland where she has to fight the Red Queen and... (SPOILER)

WHAT'S HOT - The movie is what I've expected... Great cinematography, great directing and editing... The movie runs smoothly (except for the absence of the audio in the end of it... I blame this to Growball) and you don't feel time passing even if it's running for 1 and 3/4 hours... The movie's CGI is top notch and for those who love adventure, humour, fantasy and big headed woman, come to your local cinema and spend RM10 to watch it...

WHAT'S NOT - Alice, the main character is like so pale in the movies, I mean her face make-up... Furthermore, I hate the Red Queen (I just hate her, nothing to do with the story, okay)

☆☆☆☆

UNDER THE MOUNTAIN

Okay, for you out there, this is a NEW ZEALAND movie... Yes, the land way, way under us (the geography, not... never mind). So, we don't really tend to care too much on NZ movies, do we? What's the story 'bout? well, a fraternal twin go to Auckland to find that they're supposed to fight monster and zombies just because they're, well, twins.

WHAT'S HOT - Well, to be frank, this is an NZ movie so what do we expect? Still, for those who don't care about the nation and just want to have light fun (and adventure) and don't care if the movies like a children show, expected ending, the British's influence English, or the lack of CGIs (the CGs are there, but wish there're a lot more), so this is for you... What's hot? Well. the main male lead, of course...

WHAT'S NOT - I think I may have told you that in the above section...

a.lone.ly

I don't know this but now, it's like life thought me something.

Before this, I don't feel anything 'bout this holiday. It's like nothing... at all... Sure my friends are going back to their hometown while I'm stuck here 'cause I want to... Hey. it's just a week. It's short, isn't it?

Then, it struck me. Seeing my roommate geared up to take the bus, I suddenly felt so, so negative. Don't know why... Maybe I really miss my family there. I thought I'm strong, but I'm not. This feel so sad. Emptiness creeps. Loneliness creeps. Somehow, I think I really, really need my friends.

Even if they're always teasing me, even if they say I'm a bit (a lot, to be frank) 'slowpoke' in processing data... they are the ones I have here. Now, most of them are going home. I'm so alone. I never felt this vulnerable before. This whole one week is going to be long, unless I regain myself and say it's gonna be alright.

Hey, I will still meet my friends after the holiday... Not to mention, doing assignments with Mozie in library. I think this is like a sort of growing up for me. I never cared much, now I cared for it real lot.

I hate to say this, but I really, really miss my hometown and my family. I really, really miss my good friends here and there.

To those of you who read this post, please have a good and safe journey home. Be happy and enjoy your holidays.

May our lives be blessed

*SOME TIME LATER*

So, tis's the update of my life...

Wit my friends advices and positivity, I went out... and what an eventful day today...
I watched a marathon of movies (what movies? read the latest post, you readers ^^) and ate at 1901 Hot Dogs (its been along time, hawt doggy!) and enjoying life... I even called my parents... which is the thing I should do right? haha... Life's great...

What's not great, in conjunction with the KDC, I had to go out from my room and stay at Wandy's (staying outside my room is the bad thing, not staying with Wandy, got that?)... Geezzz... One week and they still wanted to do it...

To my fellow friends, have a happy holiday with lottsa attitudes (positive ones)...

Don forget to read my blog, 'kay?

Love?... Love... Love!
