GPOY no. 2

Self-made dice for 5SC1 reunion!!! Heheh...
Oh yeah... I can't wait for the 6th of December!
[ignore the background...]

Let Go

Sometimes, you just tend to forget that time just flies, fast, unstoppable. When you know it, one more year had passed. A book is closing, and you can see the flyleaf of another one.

Growing up is about the things you learn as you go through your days. I learned a lot. Learning life is the easy part. Trying to exceed others expectations? It’s hard. I don’t want others belittling me. I don’t want to go back to the past because many occurrences hurt.

People are entitled to see me with the way they want to see me. I don’t have rights to deny it, unless what they’ve seen is totally not myself, and I don’t have power to control people around me.

My life is not flawless, but I’ll try to make it at least perfect from my side of the fence. Just one thing, every now and then, what others do and the way they perceive yourself, all hurt, even if it’s true, because you don’t want them to put the light on you in that kind of way, or treatment.

I get the idea, really. Let’s just say, at least I’m glad.

Time goes on.

This year’s ending, next year just around the corner. I want to forget. Miseries, sorrows, sadness, never ending phobias of everything, I want to forget, not that I had much of those all these years. Not all bothers me.

This is me, around the clock. I don’t put my emotions outside to be seen by others. I don’t share my day. I don’t say some things as often, but here is the place.

Life goes on. Changes? Step by step. I need to.

Keep Calm. You are Awesomesauce!

Aku naik Malaysia Airlines! Huahahahah!

A big

HI

From Terengganu!

Ok… Actually I’ve been here for one week already! Huhu!

So, dear readers [gyahaha!], this time I wanna write in BM!

Lagipun, bukan selalu pun aku tulis dalam bahasa ibunda aku kan? Huhu…

Ilanggo dah tulis pasal pengalaman die nek Malaysia Airlines…. Aku pon dah lama nak buat, tapi GPRS punye pasal… Susah untuk melayari laman sesawang [skema!…]

Jadi, aku dengan bangganya mempersembahkan pengalaman pertama aku dengan… jeng jeng jeng… Malaysia Airlines! Haha! Siot… Macam orang ulu lak aku… Haha… Selama ni aku selalu pergi balik Sabah naek AirAsia.

Aku pon bangang gak tak cakap kat diorang. Agaknya pasal sorang atendan tu cun… Orang Korea beb! [Ape kejadah orang Korea kerja ngan MAS] Ala… kadang-kadang memang camtu. Bukan kerja, latihan bersama kot? Heheh… Pe pe pon, pastu dapatla makan gak, free… Hoho… Ade due, nasi lemak udang, dan mee goreng daging lada hitam. Aku pilih nasi lemak.

Lepas seberapa lama di udara, akhirnya kitorang sampai kat… KLIA… Bertambah lagi ke-ulu-an aku. Memang besar dan agak lawa gak la lapangan terbang tu. Cool! Siap ade jual barang-barang lagi tu. Ingat nak beli coklat, tapi… heheh… mahal. Kesedihan melanda diri.

Pastu penerbangan seterusnya dari KL ke KT! Disebabkan penerbangan tu pendek, jadi takdela jual makanan. Kalo AirAsia, diorang jual, tapi 50 minit tu pendek sangat lo. Macam kurang berbaloi. Jadi MAS dengan bangganya beri air dan kacang je… Haha… Kenapa tak bagi coklat?!

Pe pe pon, tu je la pe yang aku nak cakap… Haha… Memang Nampak macam aku ni baru naik MAs, pasal tu memang kali pertama pon…

Haha!!!

"Expecto Patronum!" and no Dementors prevented us from watching HP7!

Harry Potter
and the Deathly Hallows
Part 1
With all the attention towards the epic end of the chronicles of the Chosen One, does it live up to its name?
For a muggle like me, I’d say it did.
The finale of Harry Potter is here, fellow muggles. Of course, it is not in 3D as they promised since the time to change it was not enough. You don’t want to watch a story with horrendous 3D right? Besides, I really think 3D is much more suitable for the second instalment of the film, not this one.
Part 1 of HP7 is mainly about Harry, Hermione, and Ron trying to run from the death eaters, and search for the remaining Horcruxes, but in their journey, they find out about the Deathly Hallows, a collection of three death-defying things that that nose-less douche bag Voldemort wants. Well, of course I don’t want to spill out the story, or else someone will put Silencio curse on me [epic lame… Haha!]
Okay, there were parts which totally made me felt like "why didn't they just cut this?" One highlight of the story was I really like the animation that accompanied the story of 'Three Brothers' [if I'm right with the name] that Hermione narrated. The death of Dobby, the house elf, and Harry's own, Hedwig, well, let's just say I'm going to miss them both. The Death eaters? I HATE YOU! Not all is dark in HP7 part 1. [What's the spell to make a wand to light up? It's Lumos!] There were many comedic parts in it, especially ones that deal with Ron and Harry of course. Ron, Harry, and Hermione... I love this trio!
In other words though, part 1 had mad e me want to watch part 2… Why can't it be faster??? I need it! I need July!
Accio July!
EXPELLIARMUS!

Salam Aidiladha!

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha!

Haj Mubarak!

[Based on my own prediction, my home is now abundant with meats and muttons!]

How was my first time celebrating the Feast of Sacrifice in Sabah?

Went for Solat Raya in Masjid Negeri and then...

Our class, TESL SM, got a great feast at Madam Shamaz’s home. Of course I was there for the second time, but… I still forgot the road. What’s more, the residential area was just beside the road… LOL. A lot of other lecturers were there too! It was nice meeting with all of them.

Thanks madam for the great food!

Sadap bha itu!

Paling manang!

And again…

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha!

Mini Luncheon with Amazing SM!

We ate in a private room a.k.a. Golden Lounge! Haha!
The Addams Family
Don't mind the clutter... LOL!
Wishing for something before putting the candle...
One of the two cakes!
Nasi Briyani with chicken under it!

In Saturday, around 1 ½ hours after our MUET had finished, our class got a special feast to celebrate the end of our Foundation, forget about our exam, and also to commemorate our fellow comrades, Ilanggo, Rachel, and Jennie, who will be leaving us and go to IPG Sarawak in Miri next year.

The lunch was held in The Choice, an Indian restaurant, and Madam Shamaz was there too! We [or rather, madam] had pre-ordered Chicken Briyani [delicious!], vegetables, and fish head curry. There were also two cakes; one of it is mango cheese cake, yummy! Well, Rachel ate fully with her hand for the first time! Kudos! LOL…

As remembrance gifts for them, Ilanggo, Rach, and Jen each received pink batiks, for them to make shirts or baju kurung to be wear every Thursday in IPS.

I know all of us will miss you!

[Anyway, we still have one more feast! This time, Raya Haji feast at madam’s house! Yeayyy!]

Howdy Mate? I love Country Music!

Just want to tell you how much I love Country Music. Yeehaaawwww!

I know most people in this nation love Pop, or Rock, or R&B, or Rap/Hip-hop. I also love them, but one of my top favourite genre has always been Country.

Want to know some Country artists? Here’s the list:

Blake Shelton

The Band Perry

Eli Young Band

Josh Turner

Luke Bryan

Jason Aldean

Brad Paisley

Miranda Lambert

Carrie Underwood

David Nail

Little Big Town

Dierks Bentley

Gloriana

Justin Moore

Lady Antebellum

Rascal Flatts

Taylor Swift

Zac Brown Band

Keith Urban

Err… okay, the list might not be ‘some artists’, but anyway, I love them all.

Why do I love Country?

The songs are great. I love the music, the beats, the melodies… You know, the sounds are soulful [for slow, R&B kind of music] or really, really up-beat and enthralling [for those rock-like], and of course there are mixtures of both. I think you can’t find vibes like Country anywhere else: the way all the guitars, pianos, harmonicas, violins, and banjos being played together are just captivatingly awesome.

Besides, unlike most of other song genres, the lyrics are still meaningful, well most of. Country songs really captures the Americana spirits well, from a night in a Saturday party, summer in the south, to love for family and friends, or just to get you get back up, find courage, and fight, or how this girl on the street captivates you, and even tell us stories deep down inside. The lyrics are alive with emotions, and lively with beautifully crafted lines.

Anyway, if you can see the list, you know that many of them are real Country [well, if you never heard them, then most probably they are true Country, but as a disclaimer, their songs are not TOO Country. I don’t live in the 50s!], but in recent years, there is this phenomenon known as Country Pop. Some artists like Tay, and Carrie are among the prominent crossovers. Now, I’m not saying I don’t like them. I love their songs, but in the best cases, their songs’ are labelled Country when it is only some banjos, or guitars playing in the background. We’re lucky we have lots of other artists, which still play the music Nashville’s known for.

So, to all out there, plug your ears to some music from Tennessee, and the rest of the South [of the US, I mean], and be basked in the spirits of the folk music you can move your feet into!

Country Music is the coolest music in the world!

I Couldn't Believe I did MUET!

Yesterday, we had MUET or Malaysian University English Test. For those who said it’s hard, let me tell you it’s not that hard. The only thing is they will ask us high-level questions. That was what I encountered.

Three skills were being tested yesterday, namely reading, writing, and listening. Speaking was held a month earlier.

Reading: Six articles with 7 or 8 questions each. As far as I remember, the articles were about education problem in India, life of a Japanese immigrant, well, those are the two that I could think of. All the questions given were objective, but don’t think they’re like SPM. From all, the hardest was when they gave you these answers as the choices:

a)True

B)False

C)Not stated

Sometimes, I knew the answer was not A, but was it B or C?

Writing: Section A required us to write according to the given stimulus. The one given to us was a graph about air travellers’ choice of airplane. Besides that, there was a chart telling us the travellers’ preferences of all airlines' features in choosing the airplane company. Section B meanwhile needed us to pen in an academic writing and discuss on the topic: Arranged marriage – Is it still acceptable in today’s society. Well, lucky me!

Listening: The audio was, fortunately, clear although the CD was a bit faulty. Really needed to listen [listen, not just hear], and synthesise, and write the answers. It’s not straight-forward you know?

MUET [and the exam] is now over, and presently:

I DON’T KNOW OTHER THINGS TO DO!!!

WELL, LET’S JUST WAIT FOR THE HOLIDAY, SHALL WE? *sigh*

[WHY WON’T YOU COME MUCH FASTER?!]
