Serpent under the Innocent Flower

TESL Juniors are going to have a dramatisation of the play from their favourite [and yes, me too *tangan di dada, mata ke atas*] player... err... writer... Sir William Shakespeare. The play is Macbeth [well, sorta], and I can't wait for it for a number of reasons of course. The thing is, this Macbeth is not the direct adaptation of the Shakespearean play. Instead, the juniors changed it by adding the local flavours.

In other words, we don't have Macbeth here, but we have...

Macdepp!!!

See? The poster is super-cool! Love the colour, and the sense of darkness in it. The costumes? Amazing! The '-depp' morpheme comes from the nickname of the tragic king, which is Depp. His queen/lady is our well-known artist, Santiana. With Sabahan/Sarawakian touch in it, I am pretty sure that we'll be in for some great performances from PPISMP TESL July 2010.

They are staging something really different, and deserve a standing ovation for that. Bravo for the boys, brava for the girls, bravia... oh wait, that's a TV!

Shakespeare would be proud! Haha!

P.S.: Break many legs, guys!
P.P.S.: That's theatre-speak, just so you know. Not asking them literally!
P.P.P.S.: Mylsa, thanks for the picture! Sorry for taking it without your permission! Nyeee!
